The Journey That Shaped Me

I grew up moving often, learning to survive by reading the room—people-pleasing to be accepted and arguing to be seen. Amid the instability of divorced parents, my grandmother became my steady sense of home. She was my Lucille Ball, reminding me to laugh, to love without conditions, and to pay attention to what matters most. Those early lessons shaped my belief that real leadership is about truly seeing and valuing people while inviting them into growth.

Becoming that kind of leader required unlearning the strategies that once protected me but no longer served me. Over time, I learned leadership comes alive through awareness, compassion, and presence. One of my greatest teachers—a horse—helped me experience this in the moment. Nothing reflects how you’re showing up faster than a 1,000-pound animal who only responds to what’s real.

Today, I partner with leaders to turn insight into how they actually lead. Whether it’s one person or a leadership team, the work builds clarity, trust, and the capacity to lead with intention. It shows up in decisions, hard conversations, and the moments pressure reveals what’s really running the show.

Happy Ass Leadership emerged from a truth I’ve lived for years: leadership should feel aligned, not exhausting. The heart of my work is helping leaders see themselves clearly, lead with intention, and create ripple effects far beyond what they’ll ever know. True leadership isn’t about perfection—it’s about courage, presence, and daring to leave a legacy of kindness, growth, and yes, a hell of a lot of fun.
